Muslims may not see Black Eyed Peas

The Malaysian government barred entry to the event to be sponsored by a beer brand

Muslims in Malaysia can not attend the concert by the American hip hop group Black Eyed Peas offer in the capital in September after the government banned them from entry to the event being sponsored by the Guinness beer brand, said today local press.
 
The ban is part of a statewide campaign to restrict alcohol consumption in the midst of the uproar caused after a model Muslim was sentenced to six lashes for drinking a beer.
 
The Black Eyed Peas perform at a theme park in Kuala Lumpur on September 25, within the events organized by the Irish beer brand to celebrate its 250th anniversary.
In Malaysia, 60 percent of its 28 million people are ethnic Malay Muslims are legally considered, so must comply with Islamic law or Sharia, which forbids the consumption of alcohol.
